The Marvel Special Presentation was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and written by Jon Bernthal and Green. The special stars Bernthal as Frank Castle / Punisher and Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle along with Roe Rancell and Mila Jaymes.

The Punisher: One Last Kill is set to be released on May 12, 2026, as the third Special Presentation and part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

First introduced in 1991 by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artist Ryan Brown, C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa became a ’90s hit with a toy line, a hit Saturday morning cartoon on ABC, comic books, and an arcade game. Now, over three decades later, the legendary law cows are back with new toys, a new comic, and—most exciting of all— the third new animated series from The Nacelle Company, currently in development and set to premiere in 2027. This upcoming series shares a connected universe and timeline with two other Nacelle animated reboots: RoboForce, executive produced by Brian Volk-Weiss, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Seven Bucks Productions; and Biker Mice from Mars, executive produced by Volk-Weiss, Ryan Reynolds, and Maximum Effort. Together, these series form a cohesive animated universe that reimagines iconic ’80s and ’90s properties for a new generation.

The upcoming animated series will comprise eight episodes, offering a fresh, serialized perspective on the wild and weird world of Moo Mesa. Set in the 1800s and fully integrated into the NacelleVerse alongside RoboForce and Biker Mice from Mars, the series revisits a high-altitude frontier where justice is served on hooves. Marshal Moo Montana, Cowlorado Kid, and Dakota Dude once again take the reins, protecting CowTown from crooked Mayor Oscar Bulloney, ruthless Sheriff Terrorbull, and a rogue gallery of outlaw varmints. The show also brings back beloved characters like Cowlamity Kate, Lily Bovine, Cody Calf, and more—all with updated designs and deeper storytelling that honors the original series while exploring bold new territory.

For a further buildup to the series – Nacelle, in collaboration with Oni Press, will also be launching C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa: Origins in September. These four-issue comic miniseries tell the untold story of how the C.O.W.-Boys first teamed up after a mysterious Great Comet “cow-metized” the Western plains. The comic serves as a direct prelude to the animated series, offering fans an early glimpse of the world and character arcs to come.

Revival, written by Tim Seeley with artwork from Mike Norton, colors by Mark Englert and letters by Crank!, first debuted in July 2012 and lasted 47 issues until February 2017. The series was released by Image Comics. The comic series was nominated for three Harvey Awards in 2013: Best New Series, Best Writer, and Best Artist. Jenny Frison, who has been called the under-appreciated star of the series, was nominated for Best Cover Artist in 2013 and 2015 in part because of her work on Revival.

The adaptation of this critically acclaimed comic has been in progress since 2012, with plans for versions on both television and the big screen. Syfy is now tasked with bringing this beloved comic to television screens.

According to Deadline, Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Samantha Levine, Daniel March, Luke Boyce and Aaron Koontz serve as executive producers.

The Acolyte is set at the end of the High Republic era in a world of “shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers”, approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

The series, created by Leslye Headland, takes place before the main Star Wars films and television shows. Amandla Stenberg and Lee Jung-jae star in the leading roles as respected Jedi Master Sol and former Padawan who is now a dangerous warrior Mae respectively. Also appearing is Manny Jacinto as Qimir, Carrie-Anne Moss as Indara, Dafne Keen as Jecki Lon, Jodie Turner-Smith as Mother Aniseya, Rebecca Henderson as Vernestra Rwoh, and Charlie Barnett as Yord Fanda.

On June 4, don’t miss the two-episode premiere of The Acolyte, a Star Wars Original series, only on Disney+. The series will consist of eight episodes.
