Are you afraid? DC Studios‘ Lanterns premieres August 16 on HBO Max.
Green Lanterns are intergalactic peacekeepers who wear rings that give them extraordinary powers. The series follows experienced Lantern Hal Jordan and new recruit John Stewart as they investigate a murder in Rushville, Nebraska, which leads them to darker mysteries and reckonings.
The series was created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King for HBO, based on the DC Comics Green Lantern characters Hal Jordan and John Stewart. It will be the third television series in the DC Universe (DCU). The series was produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television with Mundy serving as showrunner.
Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre respectively star as Hal Jordan and John Stewart, alongside Kelly Macdonald and Nathan Fillion.
The first episode premieres on HBO Max on August 16, 2026.
