This week on Capes and Tights, Adam Morrisette and Justin Soderberg discuss the recent digital release of The Batman.
The Batman released in theaters on March 4, 2022 and hit HBO Max on April 18, 2022. The newest addition the the DC world of films was made for around $185–200 million and tallied a box office of $759 million as of recording this episode. Matt Reeves was tabbed to direct with Reeves and Peter Craig writing the script.
Reeves’ film starred Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton / Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot / Penguin. Additionally, Jayme Lawson portrays Bella Reál.
