Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is the biggest event in the comic book industry—a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops! Founded on the belief that for every person out there, there’s a comic book they’ll love, the annual event offers a huge selection of free titles designed to appeal to a broad range of age levels and their tastes.
Galactic Comics and Collectibles (Bangor, ME) will once again participate in the yearly comic book holiday which takes place the first Saturday in May. This year’s event takes place on May 6, 2023.
While there are a NUMBER of books retailers can choose to carry and giveaway on FCBD, the retailer is still responsible for a small cost to carry these comics. Therefor not all comics will be carried by your local comic shop, this goes for Galactic Comics and Collectibles as well.
