We have been podcasting for over five years as we approach 300 episodes and over this time the Capes and Tights Podcast studio has been located in three different locations. In 2025, we found our current and longterm studio / office space, a place we will call home for, hopefully, many years. Nearing the 300 episode mark, we felt it time to show you all around.
Located in the Greater-Bangor, Maine area, the Capes and Tights Podcast studio is home to where we record each and every episode, edit and publish said episodes, as well as craft every review, preview, social media post, and more! It also houses a collection of signed comics, blu-rays, DVDs, photos, posters, books, and other miscellaneous items. Not to mention, the many items amassed from other creators, writers, artists, and celebrities from over the years.
With great attention to detail, I have made this studio and office immerse working on the podcast in a place that feels like nothing else. So, we out further ado, let’s take a look around…Hello, MTV, and welcome to our crib.
Entering the Capes and Tights Podcast Studio from the attached house (where I reside) you might be overwhelmed, but what is some peoples overstimulation is my comfort blanket. As you enter you see the entire collection of items from the baskets of comics, walls of books, and various photos and more. Right in front of his desk is my collection of Skottie Young comics, plus multiple baskets of comics signed by guests of the podcast, and a good portion of the Star Wars: The High Republic novels. To the right is built in bookshelves filled with his collection of books, as well as a few other bookshelves with collected editions of comics and more comics.
To the right, after you enter the space is the built in bookshelves house hundreds of novels, many read, but also many left to be consumed. Each shelf also holds various trinkets from special beer cans I have designed to legos and a cassette from my dad’s band Solstice. The space between features a signed Muggsy Bogues Charlotte Hornets jersey, my Goosebumps collection and comics including my many Michael Del Mundo covers.
To the left, we have the exit to outside and my collection of novels based in comics (such as Marvel, DC, The Walking Dead, and Star Wars). On the wall is a few signed items and two beer can designs signed by the Clerks crew and The Losers Club from Stephen King’s It television miniseries. On the right side of this photo you will see the computer monitors a desk, where the magic happens…
Doing a 180 after entering the space is a wall packed full of signed items including some from previous podcast guests and others from comic creators and celebrities I have met over the years. Additionally there are items signed by Jim Steranko, Skottie Young, John O’Hurley, Cooper Andrews, Ben Heller, Kevin Eastman, Jeff Goldblum, Max Casella, Arthur Suydam, and many more!
The back right corner, behind the desk, and to the desk immediate right is a collection of items solely from guests of the podcast. Starting in the back corner we see photos with guests, Phantom Starkiller signed and remarked by Joseph Schmalke (as well as signed Zodiac poster), print plate from Jonathan Hedrick‘s The Recount, print signed by Ryan Browne, photo signed by Tim Blake Nelson, TMNT remark by Ben Bishop, Browne and Charles Soule signed Eight Billion Genies #1, Mike Henderson signed Nailbiter #1, TMNT Adventures signed and remarked by Steve Lavigne, signed Goosebumps book by Tim Jacobus, signed Maeve Fly by CJ Leede, signed Wings DVD by David A. Goodman, and more.
Above the door is multiple signed blu-rays, as well as a signed I Hate Fairyland poster by Skottie Young, and a signed Nate “Tiny” Archibald Boston Celtics jersey. Behind his door is the housing of the back stock collection of comics.
What you don’t get to see in the previous photo was one of my biggest prides and joy. My collection of novels and trade collections featuring quotes from reviews over years. This is an incomplete collection, but features a good number of them from an assortment of publishers in hardcover and paperback. It’s an honor to be featured and hope to continue to be included.
Behind the recording desk and to the left of the door to the comic collection is more. Including, Batman sketch by Ande Parks, Goosebumps sketch by Tim Jacobus, Behemoth sketch by Jay Martin, two sketches by Liana Kangas, sketched covers by Bob Tkacik (Spawn) and Tony Fleecs (Stray Dogs), as well as a dual remarked Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite of Spring #6 variant (featuring our pull quote) by Fleecs and Patrick Horvath. Signed comics are also included, Green Arrow #1 by Parks, The Patron #1 by John J. Pearson, House of M #1 by Brian Michael Bendis, and The Recount ashcan by Jonathan Hedrick.
The wall also features signed blu-rays, DVDs, and books from Marc Guggenheim (Green Lantern), John Campopiano (Pennywise: The Story of It), David Dastmalchian (Suicide Squad), Joshua Hull–David McKendry–Rebecca McKendry (Glorious), Kevin Smith (Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back), Adam Cesare (Clown in a Cornfield), Daniel Kraus (Rotters), plus a collection of books on the top of the shelf.
In addition to a bunch of knick-knacks, the area also includes the beer/book collaboration cans we have done (Pay the Piper, Whalefall, The Night Birds), the It beer can from Bangor Comic and Toy Con, and our 200th episode label by Kangas. As well as a collection of photos. On the shelves are bins of comics.
When sitting at the desk, to the right, is a nice window to the outside (which I have to cover when recording) and more of the collection of podcast guest stuff. This includes a print signed by Tyler Crook, unreleased 1994 Fantastic Four photo signed by Alex Hyde-White, The Devil That Wears My Face poster signed by David Pepose, Trespasser novel signed by Paul Doiron, Fuller House DVD signed by Brian McAuley, 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank #1 dual signed by Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss, Bizarro: Year None #1 signed by Kevin Smith, photos with guests, and more!
Above it all is my collection of signed VHS cassettes interspersed with remarked movies by Bob Tkacik, as well as signed DVDs over the exit door.
Now we sit at the desk. Not much to see here outside a photo of my wife and first child, Nova, and the view I get when chatting with my amazing guests.
Here is another view of the wall across from the desk in the Capes and Tights Podcast Studio, but this time features the collection of photos of myself with various creators and celebrities not feature elsewhere. Gonna need to find more space.
It’s truly an honor to sit behind this desk at the Capes and Tights Podcast Studio and chat with some of the best creators in the world of comics, books, movies, television, and more. It hasn’t fully hit me that we are approaching 300 episodes, but hope to continue for another 300 and beyond. The real question is…as more guests join, where will I put all the stuff I collect?
