The creative team behind Caffeinated Hearts and Space Cadet, Jonathan Hedrick (The Recount) and Stefano Cardoselli (Don’t Spit in the Wind), reunite for a horrifying one-shot Spillblood. Kickstarter launches on July 18, 2023.
Spillblood is a 36-page one-shot in black, white, and red written by Hedrick with artwork from Cardoselli and letters by Leo McGovern. The one-shot is expected to be very violent with heavy religious tones. For fans of Punisher, Ghost Rider, and Spawn.
“Spillblood is a project that Stefano Cardoselli and I have been working on for over a year now,” said co-creator and writer Jonathan Hedrick. “This is going to be a brutal comic that is completely different from our other collaborations.”
The tandem last released Caffeinated Hearts via Kickstarter and then with Source Point Press. In Caffeinated Hearts we follow a beautifully tattooed barista named Amarella across four vignettes that are blended through this slice-of-life comic book set in a coffee shop with a cyberpunk backdrop. The robust tales warm your heart like a fresh batch of java poured into your favorite morning mug.
Hedrick is also known for his creation The Recount, which has been optioned for a feature film, at Scout Comics. The Recount: Second Term is currently in the works and set to release in the near future. Cardoselli is currently releasing Don’t Spit in the Wind at Mad Cave Studios.
