Sony dropped it’s red band trailer for the upcoming Kraven the Hunter feature film on Monday and it is fierce, ultra-violent and just what we needed. It finally seems Sony understands what we want in a Marvel movie.
Kraven the Hunter tells the tale of the iconic Marvel villain before his iconic rivalry with Spider-Man and how exactly he became to be. After an encounter that came too close to death at a young age, Sergei Kravinoff is gifted with the instincts of a true predator and the thirst for the hunt. A film by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel.
The film is directed by J.C. Chandor with screen story and screenplay by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk. The producers are Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and David Householter. Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinge, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe.
Kraven the Hunter releases exclusively in theaters in October 2023 and is Sony’s first R-rated Marvel film.
