Finally after multiple delays DC‘s The Flash will hit theaters on June 16, 2023. However, before you head to the movies to see the film lets get amped by watching some other movies and tv shows.
With The Flash only having small appearances in most DC Extended Universe films, most of the films are just setting the mood for the upcoming release. Although not all movies are a requirement to understand some films, we put together a few in different categories to help.
Must Watch: These films are highly recommended in order to get a full understanding of what might take place in The Flash. Of course they films include the character’s introduction and progression over the past few years.
Should Watch: With not much screen time for The Flash it only makes sense to watch his entire DCEU catalog and these are the other films in said catalog.
Extra Credit: While not required by any means, this category is just worth it when you see our selections.
Must Watch // Justice League (2017)
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Wayne recruits Barry into the titular team, though the latter is forced to confront his social awkwardness due to his powers. Eventually, Barry’s jovial attitude helps him befriend the rest of the Justice League and he goes on to help the team foil Steppenwolf’s invasion of Earth and get a job as a forensic scientist for the Central City Police Department.
