This week on the Capes and Tights Podcast, Justin Soderberg welcomes Kai Patterson to the conversation to discuss his cut of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
Patterson is a filmmaker from Honolulu, Hawaii, who currently resides in Los Angeles, Calif. He has worked on commercials, features, shorts, podcasts, and countless other artistic mediums. Patterson worked as an Associate Producer and Editor for Lewis Howes‘ School of Greatness Podcast for almost two years and has since moved on to freelance filmmaking and visual effects work.
The filmmaker has been featured on Variety, IGN, Screen Rant, Inside The Magic, and many more, for his viral Fan-Edit of the six-part Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi show on Disney+, which he edited down into a single 2.5 hour movie. Patterson enjoys using many different mediums of storytelling, including drawing, acting, writing, and improv comedy. But his favorite medium by far is filmmaking as it is an immersive and powerful way of captivating an audience’s imagination and transporting them to new and exciting realities.
