This week on the Capes and Tights Podcast, Justin Soderberg and Paul Eaton discuss their 2022 Comic Books of the Year.
In our second annual end of the year episode, each co-host brings their own personal top-10 comic books list to the table and discuss reasons why these series made their respective list.
Only a few stipulations are required to be considered on of the 2022 comic books of the year.
The comic book has to have had two issues released between January 1 and December 31, 2022. The series does not need to have first released or completely released within 2022, but have three issues released. Example: Something Is Killing The Children released in 2019, but can be considered as one of the 2022 comic books of the year due to having had at least two issues released this year.
To be on the list the comic books can come from Marvel, or DC Comics, but also Image Comics, IDW Publishing, BOOM! Studios, Vault Comics and many other publishers. 2022 Comic Books of the Year can also come from self-published series as long as they meet the minimum number of issues rule. Also, graphic novels are allowed to the considered if they entire novel was released in 2022.
