Review Overview

Kill Your Darlings #1, created by Ethan S. Parker, Griffin Sheridan, Bob Quinn, and John J. Hill, will take you on a journey of an epic tale of fantasy and horror that you won’t soon forget.

Kill Your Darlings introduces eight-year-old Rose, who loves nothing more than to escape into her own magical world. However, that line between fantasy and reality will soon disappear, and Rose will be plunged into a sinister and age-old hunger that began centuries before her birth. Join her as she embarks on a gruesome and magical adventure that will change her life forever.

Kill Your Darlings features some outstanding artwork from the talented Bob Quinn. Quinn’s style brings the world of Rose’s imagination to life, and his attention to detail is impressive. The way he captures the dark and horrific elements of the story is simply amazing. Each panel of the comic book is a visual masterpiece, which contributes to the overall experience of the reader.

The story of Kill Your Darlings is gripping and engaging, thanks to the imaginative minds of Ethan S. Parker and Griffin Sheridan. The way they craft the tale is captivating, and the pacing of the story is excellent. The story is full of twists and turns that will keep you on edge, and the characters are likable. The dialogue is well-written, and the way they convey the emotional and horror elements of the story is mesmerizing.

One of the things that make Kill Your Darlings stand out is that it was hard to predict where the story was going. The unpredictability of the plot kept me engaged and invested in what was going to happen next. I found myself wanting more and couldn’t wait for the next issue to come out.

The world laid out in the debut issue of Kill Your Darlings seems vast and imaginative. The story brings Rose’s imagination to life, and it’s interesting to see how fantasy and horror elements blend seamlessly together. Parker and Sheridan did an excellent job of crafting a unique and original world that will capture your imagination.

The outstanding artwork from Bob Quinn, the engaging story from Ethan S. Parker and Griffin Sheridan, and the unpredictable plot will keep you on edge and wanting more of Kill Your Darlings. This comic book has everything you could ever want in a story, and the way it blends fantasy and horror elements is simply amazing.

Kill Your Darlings #1 hit local comic shops on September 6, 2023 from Image Comics.
