The first Marvel Cinematic Universe television series of 2024 hits Disney+ and Hulu on January 9, 2024 with Echo. The miniseries drops all episodes for the first time!
Following the events of Hawkeye in New York City, Maya Lopez is being pursued by Wilson Fisk’s organization, leading her to return to her hometown in Oklahoma, where she must come to terms with her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace her family and community.
Echo was created by Marion Dayre as the tenth television series in the MCU, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and a spin-off of the series Hawkeye. Dayre and Amy Rardin serve as head writers and Sydney Freeland leads the directing team.
Alaqua Cox reprises her role as Maya Lopez / Echo from Hawkeye, with Chaske Spencer as Henry, Tantoo Cardinal as Chula, Devery Jacobs as Bonnie, Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez, Cody Lightning as Cousin Biscuits, Graham Greene as Skully, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin, and Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil also starring.
Echo is scheduled to be released in its entirety simultaneously on Disney+ and Hulu on January 9, 2024, and will consist of five episodes. The series is the first Marvel Studios show under the Marvel Spotlight banner, focusing more on grounded, character-driven stories and less about impacting the larger MCU narrative. Marvel Spotlight tells audiences that they did not need to watch any other MCU projects to understand Spotlight series. However, it does seem the events of Echo will lead directly into those of Daredevil: Born Again coming sometime in the near future.
Be sure to check out Echo in its entirety on Disney+ and Hulu starting January 9, 2024.
