Kevin Smith came to prominence with the low-budget comedy Clerks (1994), which he wrote, directed, co-produced, and acted in as the character Silent Bob of stoner duo “Jay & Silent Bob.” Since then he has gone on to make a number of films, but also dove into the world of comics.
Smith is known for his runs on DC’s Green Arrow and the recently released Bizarro; Marvel’s Daredevil, Jay & Silent Bob: Jays of Future Past, and recently released Spider-Man / Hulk: Fire and Brimstone; Dynamite Entertainment’s Green Hornet and The Bionic Man; and Dark Horse’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation, as well as writing comics under his imprint at Dark Horse with Quick Stops and Maskerade. It was recently announced Smith will be penning the first-ever Marvel / Star Wars crossover event, Star Wars / Marvel: Hope Assembles, which debuts in January 2027.
