This week on the Capes and Tights Podcast, Justin Soderberg welcomes author Dane Erbach to the program to discuss Meat Bees, his upcoming novel from Clash Books, and more!
Erbach is a writer from Chicago’s northwest suburbs. He teaches English and journalism at a public high school. In 2006, Dane received his bachelor’s degree in English and Education from Lake Forest College, where he wrote for the student newspaper. He taught at a North Shore high school before landing at McHenry Community High School, where he has taught since 2008. Dane earned his master’s degree from DePaul University’s School of New Learning in 2014. For many summers, he has taught writing at Northwestern University to gifted and talented middle and elementary school students.
In 2024, Dane published his first novel entitled Friday Night at Humble House. His second novel, Meat Bees, publishes on August 4, 2026 form Clash Books.
