In addition to the big two of Marvel and DC, there are hundreds more comic book publishers printing comics these days. However, a few stand above the rest.
We took the time to look at books from 2022 and which publisher was putting out the best lineup of comics. Here is our five favorite with an honorable mention.
Honorable Mention: Ablaze
The mantra of Ablaze Publishing is quality first, with the goals of giving creators a platform, bringing new voices into the conversation, serving as diverse an audience as possible and bringing some of the best content from all corners of the globe to readers.
Ablaze came to the party towards the latter half of 2022 with The Boogyman and Traveling To Mars, two titles worth mentioning. However, there are a few more publishers with a bigger impact on us this year.
Look for the continuation of The Boogyman and Traveling To Mars in 2023 and be sure to be on the lookout for Children of the Black Sun #1 coming in January.
We should also mentioned Mad Cave Studios, Vault Comics and AWA Studios made some outstanding comics in 2022 as well.
