The Marvel Cinematic Universe is well into the fifth phase and Kevin Feige recently the plans for some of Phase 6.

Here is every Marvel project we can expect in the near future.

Secret Invasion (June 21, 2023)

Secret Invasion

Secret Invasion has been being teased since the 2019 release of Captain Marvel introduced the Skrulls to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Created by Kyle Bradstreet, Secret Invasion sees Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Fury from the film series, along with Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, with Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle also starring.

Kraven the Hunter (October 6, 2023)

Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, Kraven The Hunter is intended to be the fourth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU).

The film is being directed by J. C. Chandor from a screenplay by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk, and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the title role alongside Ariana DeBose.

Loki Season 2 (October 6, 2023)

The return of Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson and Sophia DiMartino from the first season, as well as the appearance of Oscar-winning Ke Huy Quan. No mention was made about the return of Jonathan Majors, reprising his role as a Kang The Conqueror variant from the first season and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

All six episodes will be written by Eric Martin, with duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing the majority of episodes.

The Marvels (November 10, 2023)

The Marvels is a sequel to the Captain Marvel film from 2019. It will also tie into the Ms. Marvel series from Disney+.

The film is directed by Nia DaCosta from a screenplay by Megan McDonnell, and stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, alongside Samuel L. Jackson.

Echo (November 29, 2023)

Maya Lopez must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.

Alaqua Cox reprises her role as Maya Lopez / Echo from Hawkeye, with Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene, Zahn McClarnon, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Charlie Cox also starring.

The show was created by Marion Dayre.

This will be the first MCU series to be released all at once.

El Muerto (January 12, 2024 — Likely delayed)

All that is known currently is that Bad Bunny will star as El Muerto in this Spider-Man spin-off in the Sony Spider-Man Universe (SSU).

Madame Web (February 16, 2024 — Likely Delayed)

Another Spider-Man spin-off in the Sony Spider-Man Universe (SSU). S. J. Clarkson was hired to develop and direct the film with Dakota Johnson set to star as the title character.

Deadpool 3 (May 3, 2024)

Deadpool 3

The threequel and first Deadpool film to take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a release date as part of phase six. Ryan Reynolds is hard at work with the film.

Captain America: Brave New World (July 26, 2024)

Captain America: New World Order

Following the events of The Falcon and The Winter Solider, rumors started to swirl of a fourth Captain America film. This was all but confirmed with the hiring of Julius Onah as director. At San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, Kevin Feige gave the film an official title and release date.

Thunderbolts (December 20, 2024)

Thunderbolts

June 2022, a Thunderbolts film was in development, with Jake Schreier attached to direct and Eric Pearson writing the screenplay. Kevin Feige announced the film and released date at SDCC 2022.

What If…? Season 2 (2024)

What If season 2

Marvel Studios announced the second season of What If…? will premiere in early 2023, pushed back from its original timeframe of late 2022.

What If…? explores various alternate timelines of the multiverse in which major moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films occur differently, as observed by the Watcher.

X-Men ’97 (2024)

Continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series from the 1990’s. Beau DeMayo will serve as head writer with Cathal J. Dodd, Lenore Zann, George Buza, Catherine Disher, Chris Potter, Alison Sealy-Smith, and Christopher Britton all returning.

The animated series will explore new stories in the iconic 1990s timeline of the original series featuring beloved characters like Professor X, Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Jubilee, Rogue, Storm, Gambit, Magneto, and more. Winderbaum reflected on the legacy of the nostalgic series, while DeMayo shared artwork for what’s to come.

Ironheart (2024)

Ironheart

Created by Chinaka Hodge, Ironheart will debut near the end of 2024 only on Disney+. Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, will make her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to close out Phase 4 in November.

The series will consist of six episodes, with Sam Bailey directing the first three and Angela Barnes directing the last three.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos (2024)

In October 2021, it was revealed that a “dark comedy” spin-off series was in development, with Kathryn Hahn returning to reprise her role as Agatha Harkness from WandaVision along with Jac Schaeffer returning as writer and executive producer. Hahn’s involvement was part of a larger deal she signed with Marvel Studios to reprise the role in additional series and films. Marvel Studios officially announced the series a month later. Agatha: Coven of Chaos will premiere in late 2023 or early 2024.

Daredevil: Born Again (2024)

Daredevil: Born Again

Charlie Cox returns to the Daredevil costume in Daredevil: Born Again coming to Disney+ as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 5 in 2024. Cox will be joined by his fellow Netflix star Vincent D’onofrio in the new series.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year (2024)

Spider-Man: Freshman Year

Spider-Man: Freshman Year will air on Disney+ in 2024. The animated series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU, starting with his freshman year of high school of course. Peter’s journey in the series will be unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.

Marvel Zombies (2024)

Marvel Animation: Marvel Zombies

Marvel Zombies will take place directly following the outstanding episode of What If..? with the first season. The creative team stated the series will not shy-away from the blood, gore and guts of the classic Marvel Zombies comic series created by writer Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Invincible) and artist Sean Phillips. The series will be rated TV-MA.

Blade (February 14, 2025)

In February 2019, Mahershala Ali approached Marvel Studios about starring in a new film. Kevin Feige officially announced the film with Ali in the title role that July at San Diego Comic-Con. Ali first had an uncredited voice cameo as Blade in Eternals (2021). In February 2021, Stacy Osei-Kuffour was hired to write the film, with Bassam Tariq hired to direct by that September. Tariq and Kuffour have stepped down and replaced by Yann Demange and Michael Starrbury to direct and write respectively.

Fantastic Four (May 2, 2025)

At the July 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige announced Marvel Studios was developing a Fantastic Four film for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Feige revealed the official release date at SDCC 2022.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (May 1, 2026)

The big news out of SDCC 2022 was the reveal of a few Phase 6 films. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty was one of those films. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton has joined the film.

Avengers: Secret Wars (May 7, 2027)

Avengers: Secret Wars

The second of the two Avengers films announced at SDCC 2022 is Avengers: Secret Wars. The film will close out the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
