It’s been nearly 30 years since the seen the witches of “Hocus Pocus” on screen, but they are back in an all-new trailer.
Twenty-nine years after the events of Hocus Pocus (1993), three high-school students must work together to stop the Sanderson sisters who have returned to present-day Salem.
The Sanderson sisters of Winifred, Sarah and Mary will return for Hocus Pocus 2 on September 30, 2022 on Disney+ and we just got a sneak peak.
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy will all reprise their roles of the Sanderson sisters in the sequel. Doug Jones will also return as Billy Butcherson. They will be joined by Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale, and Sam Richardson.
Hocus Pocus 2 was directed by Anne Fletcher (The Guilt Trip, 27 Dresses) and written by Jen D’Angelo (Workaholics, Young Rock). John Debney returns to score the se as he did for the original.
Fans of the original film have been waiting for this sequel since it was rumored to be in development in 2015. Now, only a few more months until it’s premiere on Disney+.
