Tim Seeley is a New York Times bestselling writer and comic book artist known for his work on comics such as Grayson, Nightwing, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, G.I. Joe vs. Transformers and New Exiles.

M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games (Marvel) // Jordan Blum & Patton Oswalt

M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games

From Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum, showrunners of the upcoming animated Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. show on Hulu, comes a journey into the mind of one of the biggest heads in the Marvel Universe! M.O.D.O.K. is the ruthless and brilliant leader of the terrorist organization AIM, outsmarting heroes and outmaneuvering his cutthroat colleagues gunning for his position… but when he begins to be haunted by memories of a family he never had, it leaves him unsure if he is losing his freakishly-large mind, or if perhaps there is a lot more to this enormous mind… or if there is something more sinister behind these visions.

M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games is available in both trade paperback and digital formats.

Revival (Image Comics) // Tim Seeley

Independent Comics: Revival

For one day in rural central Wisconsin, the dead came back to life. Now it’s up to Officer Dana Cypress to deal with the media scrutiny, religious zealots, and government quarantine that has come with them. In a town where the living have to learn to deal with those who are supposed to be dead, Officer Cypress must solve a brutal murder, and everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect. A beautiful “farm noir” that puts a new twist on the zombie genre, created by New York Times bestselling author Tim Seeley and acclaimed artist Mike Norton.

You can read Revival via trade paperback or digitally.

JLA: Welcome to the Working Week (DC) // Patton Oswalt

JLA WELCOME TO THE WORKING WEEK

Written by Patton Oswalt of King of Queens with art and cover by Patrick Gleason and Christian Alamy! How does the JLA act behind closed doors? You’re about to find out! When Marlus Randone stows away on the JLA Watchtower, he relies on his notebook and disposable camera to document the petty squabbles and inside decisions made by the members of the JLA.

JLA: Welcome to the Working Week is available in collected trade paperback.

Hack/Slash (Image Comics) // Tim Seeley

Hack/Slash

In every slasher movie, there’s one girl who makes it all the way to the end. She’s the survivor…the last girl. Meet Cassie Hack, the lone survivor of an attack by a vicious slasher called The Lunch Lady. Now Cassie, along with her monstrous partner, Vlad, travel the country, hunting down other slashers before they can leave a trail of blood and terror.

Read Hack/Slash via digital or trade paperback.

Black Hammer: Visions (Dark Horse) // Patton Oswalt

Black Hammer: Visions

This collection launches the beginning of a special two volume hardcover series of exciting stories taking place in the world of Jeff Lemire and Dean Ormston‘s Eisner Award-winning Black Hammer superhero comics. This graphic novel collects Black Hammer: Visions #1-4 and also features a sketchbook section and pinups by Gilbert Hernandez, Evan Dorkin, Kelley Jones, Christina Chung, and more!

Local Man (Image Comics) // Tim Seeley

Local Man #1 | Tim Seeley | Tony Fleecs

Stray Dogs creator Tony Fleecs teams with Revival‘s Tim Seeley for a wildly critically acclaimed story that combines rural crime noir and superhero action.

Once, Jack Xaver, star recruit of the media sensation super-team Third Gen, had it all. But when controversy sends Crossjack crawling back to his mom and dad’s basement in the Midwest, Jack struggles to fit into a world he left far behind. And then the bodies start piling up.

Collects the complete first arc of the smash-hit series that Comicbook.com calls “a thought-provoking send-up to one of comics’ weirdest eras, and if you’re not reading it right now, you are absolutely missing out.”

Local Man can be read via digital or trade paperback (releasing September 26).

Minor Threats (Dark Horse) // Jordan Blum & Patton Oswalt

Minor Threats

The first creator-owned comic series from Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum, showrunners of Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K on HULU, and superstar artist Scott Hepburn (Tom Morello’s Orchid), comes this graphic crime drama about superheroes and villains and the last gasp of the colorful innocent days of the silver and bronze age before they’re dragged into the grit-soaked modern era.

Read Minor Threats via trade paperback and digitally.

The Alternates (Dark Horse)

The Alternates

Mary the Multi-Monster! The Tripper! Crab Louie! Kid Curious! Persona! Formerly the offbeat b-list superheroes, The Alternates, who seemingly sacrificed themselves to stop an invasion from another dimension. Instead they were transported to a mirror reality where they lived complex lives in a more four-dimensional existence-expanding both their powers and consciousness.

Five years later they’ve returned to Twilight City, struggling to reacclimate to their old lives in a traditional two-dimensional superhero worldwithdrawal from the vivid ones they left behind. When elements from this alternate reality turn up as a dangerous new street drug, some of the heroes band together to destroy it, while others succumb to its temptation.

The Alternates #1 hits local comic shops on September 13, 2023!
