Written by Magdalene Visaggio (Rick and Morty) and brought to life with stunning artwork by Michael Avon Oeming (Powers, Blue Book), Galaxy of Madness takes readers on an epic adventure in the Mad Cave Studios debut issue.
In Galaxy of Madness, we are introduced to Vigil Virgo, a daring space archaeologist who is on the brink of uncovering a universe-altering secret. Vigil dives deeper into the abyss, where no human was ever meant to go. She navigates treacherous terrain and faces formidable foes to unlock the mysteries of the cosmos. The twists and turns that take place in this debut issue will have you wanting to keep turning the page.
Galaxy of Madness is wonderfully written by Visaggio, let’s just put it out there. However, the real shinning star of this series is the artwork from the critically acclaimed artist Michael Avon Oeming. His dynamic style is unique and paired with the coloring of Taki Soma, they bring each page to life with bright and fun that is both whimsical and meaningful.
In addition to the stellar artwork is the design and layout of Galaxy of Madness. Each page is different than the last and keeps your attention throughout. The layouts are expertly crafted adding depth to each page that some comics these days lack. The overall reading experience is enhanced by the viewing experience.
The story is truly great, but the visual appeal of this comic takes the cake. Galaxy of Madness is one of those comics that will be read over and over to fully experience the story. We highly recommend taking a wild ride through space that is fun, vibrant and out of this world.
Galaxy of Madness #1 hits local comic shops on June 19, 2024 (FOC: May 19) from Mad Cave Studios.
