We head back to Mandalore in the new season of The Mandalorian as the trailer was unveiled at Disney’s D23 Expo on Saturday.
It seems like it’s been forever since we last left off with The Mandalorian as the second season wrapped up in December 2020, when the title character and Grogu were separated. However, we did see the two main stars reunite in the limited series The Book of Boba Fett in 2022.
Pedro Pascal returns as The Mandalorian along with Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing, and Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto. Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows were cast in unknown roles.
Show creator Jon Favreau again wrote much of the season, with Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and co-star Weathers also directing for the season.
The series is set in the Star Wars franchise, set after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983).
Season three premieres on Disney+ this February 2023 with a fourth season in development.
