As the calendar flips to March, comic book fans get ready – five days of new releases await! With so many thrilling titles dropping in such a short time span, navigating through it all can be dizzying. To help guide you on your journey into comics this month we've curated some must-read picks that'll promise magical escapism like The Neighbors #1, Clear #1, Red Zone #1 - plus a few more.

Of course, there are many on-going books that have release dates in March, but we are focusing on new series releases. Most of our selections come from independent publishers, but you may also see books from Marvel and DC Comics as well. This list is also subjective to what we are interested in reading.

Lastly, release dates are always subject to change due many different reasons. We will do our best to update this list as we are made aware of these changes.

MARCH 15

Granite State Punk #1

Granite State Punk #1 (Scout Comics)

(W) Travis Gibb // (A) Patrick Buermeyer

Zeke has just gotten released from prison and is now living in the last place he ever wanted to be… his dead parents’ house. For years, he tried to drown every ounce of the memories of this place and his messed-up childhood. Zeke is now forced to confront it and the revelation that his past is filled with the occult, punk rock, dark magic, and its connection to New Hampshire’s most historic landmark, The Old Man of the Mountain.

Learn more about Granite State Punk from Travis Gibb when he joins the Capes and Tights Podcast on Episode 87 to discuss his comic series.

Forged #1 (Image Comics)

(W) Greg Rucka, Eric Trautmann // (A) Mike Henderson

In the 11th Millennium of the rule of the Eternal Empress, a squad of planet-smashing super soldiers find their routine mission to be anything but. These are the Forged. They take no prisoners.

Written by Greg Rucka & Eric Trautmann and brought to the page by Mike Henderson, embark upon an over-the-top pulp adventure of sex, violence, and sci-fi inspired by Conan, Heavy Metal, and other comics you tried to hide from your parents.

A Little White Lie #1 (AfterShock Comics)

(W) Ray Fawkes // (A) Mark Torres

A Brand-New Horror Prestige Format One-Shock from Ray Fawkes!

When wealthy identical twin brothers find a bizarrely seductive shape-shifting creature living on their isolated estate, they get drawn into a mind-bending battle of predator and prey against an enemy that turns all their greatest strengths against them.

From Ray Fawkes (Jackpot!, All Night & Every Day, Constantine) and Mark Torres (Phantom on the Scan, Cold Spots, Hellraiser) comes a viscerally horrifying new prestige format One-Shock in which the truth might be the greatest liability.

BRZRKR #12 (BOOM! Studios)

(W) Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt // (A) Ron Garney

The epic conclusion to the groundbreaking original series is finally here!

Caldwell’s master plan is revealed, setting up one final showdown with B. and Diana. At the end of all things, the immortal warrior finds himself faced with a challenge that even he might not endure. And if he does succeed… what will remain of him when there are no more battles left to fight?

No / One #1 (Image Comics)

(W) Kyle Higgins, Brian Buccellato // (A) Geraldo Borges

Ten months ago, the Richard Roe murders shocked the city of Pittsburgh. In the months since, the killings have sparked a dangerous political movement, copycat killers, and a masked vigilante who’s still determined to hold the powerful accountable. Not a symbol. Not a hero. They could be anyone. They’re NO/ONE.

Superstar writers Kyle Higgins (Radiant Black) and Brian Buccellato (Chicken Devil) and rising-star artist Geraldo Borges (Nightwing) bring you the extra-length first chapter of a true crime superhero drama in its own corner of the Massive-verse!

Plus! The story continues in “Who is No/One,” a monthly companion podcast starring Rachael Leigh Cook (She’s All That) and Patton Oswalt (Netflix’s The Sandman, Minor Threats, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.)!
