Hot off the success of the DC Comics crossover comic of Batman / Spawn #1, Al Simmons gets more violence than he can handle in Spawn Unwanted Violence #1 from Image Comics.
The writing of Todd McFarlane (Spawn) meets the incredible art of Mike Del Mundo (Thor, Carnage) in Spawn Unwanted Violence, a two-part miniseries that forces Spawn to confront the very nature of good and evil!
Information can be one of the most valuable resources in the world. It can also be one of the most difficult to obtain. Luckily for Spawn, he has the freak. The Freak is a master of getting what he needs out of a subject. But as the Freak works at extracting the whereabouts of “File F,” Al witnesses an act of senseless violence—one that he can’t ignore.
Spawn Unwanted Violence features powerful and stunning imagery from one of the world’s most outstanding comic book artists, Del Mundo, and features emotional stories of the current climate we live.
We cannot state strong enough how amazing the artwork from Del Mundo is in this miniseries. His ability to use the canvas to create art that baffles us each and every time is incredible. Only a few people have been able to tackle Spawn over the years and Del Mundo has been added to the list.
Spawn was the only title in the Spawn Universe for a number years, but McFarlane introduced Gunslinger Spawn, King Spawn and The Scorched over the past few years to grow the Spawn Universe. Spawn Unwanted Violence is a one-shot style miniseries is just another title for Spawn fans to pickup.
Although we pick up every Spawn title as huge fans of the series, this was a must get due to the pairing of McFarlane with Del Mundo and we were not disappointed.
Spawn Unwanted Violence #1 is available at your local comic shop with the second half of the series coming February 15.
