We are set for another animated series from the great minds at Lucasfilm, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord is coming to a screen near you this April, only on Disney+.
Around a year after the Clone Wars, former Sith lord Maul rebuilds his criminal syndicate and seeks a new apprentice on the planet Janix during the reign of the Galactic Empire.
Created by Dave Filoni, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord takes place after the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and follows former Sith lord Maul during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Sam Witwer voices Maul, reprising his role from The Clone Wars and other Star Wars media, with Gideon Adlon as Devon Izara, Wagner Moura as Brander Lawson, and Richard Ayoade as Two-Boots also providing voices.
A five-issue prequel comic book series, Star Wars: Shadow of Maul, written by Benjamin Percy and illustrated by Madibek Musabekov is being published by Marvel Comics beginning on March 4, 2026 and wrapping up on June 10.
The 10-episode series is set to premiere on Disney+ on April 6, with two episodes being released each week until May 4.
