In what is fantastic news, Deadline revealed that the comic book adaptation of Revival was given a series order by Syfy to be released in 2025. The series will be produced by Canadian company Blue Ice Pictures for Syfy.
Revival, written by Tim Seeley with artwork from Mike Norton, colors by Mark Englert and letters by Crank!, first debuted in July 2012 and lasted 47 issues until February 2017. The series was released by Image Comics. The comic series was nominated for three Harvey Awards in 2013: Best New Series, Best Writer, and Best Artist. Jenny Frison, who has been called the under-appreciated star of the series, was nominated for Best Cover Artist in 2013 and 2015 in part because of her work on Revival.
The adaptation of this critically acclaimed comic has been in progress since 2012, with plans for versions on both television and the big screen. Syfy is now tasked with bringing this beloved comic to television screens.
According to Deadline, Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Samantha Levine, Daniel March, Luke Boyce and Aaron Koontz serve as executive producers.
