Halloween is just around the corner and we are not far on the calendar from Christmas, so why not settle down and watch a Christmas slasher featuring Art the Clown in Terrifier 3, set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024.
After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother are struggling to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But just when they think they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.
Terrifier 3 written and directed by Damien Leone. It stars David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown, Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw, Elliott Fullam as Jonathan Shaw, and Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria “Vicky” Heyes, who reprise their roles from prior films. Additionally, Chris Jericho stars as Burke, and Daniel Roebuck as Santa Claus. Also appearing are Tom Savini, Jason Patric, Antonella Rose, Krsy Fox Howard, Annie Lederman, and Jon Abrahams.
The film is a sequel to Terrifier 2 and will reintroduce possessed survivor Victoria Heyes in a more prominent role. Terrifier 3 is the third film is centered around Art the Clown and is the fourth feature-length film to include the character after the anthology film All Hallows’ Eve, in the Terrifier franchise.
Terrifier 3 was filmed for $2 million, much more than the roughly $300,000 combined cost of the first two films ($350k for Terrifier 2 and $55k for Terrifier). However, the third installment is expected to open with between $5-10 million. The entire run of both the first two films earned just north of $16 million ($15.7 for Terrifier 2 and $416k for Terrifier).
Terrifier 3 hits theaters October 11, 2024 (2 weeks prior to original release date).
