The Eisner Award-nominated comic book series starring everyone’s favorite nameless assassin by artist Luc Jacamon and writer Matz (The Black Dahlia) makes its long awaited return in The Killer: Affairs of the State.
The hardcover collection of the six-issue series hits the shelf at your local comic shop on December 14.
Caught and put to work as an on-call assassin for the French government, the Killer has to adjust to working with a handler, Barbara; his new partner Nicolas, a former special forces operative; and life as a civilian. A network of city-wide corruption awaits, getting Killer even more involved in the midst of an escalating crisis. But as feelings for a coworker arise in his day job, will he be dangerously distracted, torn between two identities?
The Killer: Affairs of the State hardcover collects issues #1-6 and is available at your local comic shop and wherever graphic novels are sold on December 14. If you missed the original series, The Killer, the complete trade paperback second edition is also available on December 14.
The Killer will make its way to Netflix in 2023 with David Fincher (Se7en, Zodiac) at the helm. The streaming adaptation stars Michael Fassbender and Tilda Swinton. After being in passive development for over a decade, Netflix acquired the rights to the film from Paramount.
