Dark Horse Books, Critical Role, and Amazon Studios officially announced they have teamed up to bring fans a new prequel book series based on the record-breaking animated show, The Legend of Vox Machina! The upcoming series of interconnected stories will be written by Marieke Nijkamp (Critical Role: Vox Machina Kith and Kin), in collaboration with the cast of Critical Role, and will include art by acclaimed illustrator Tyler Walpole.
Fans can get a sneak peek at the first book in the series, The Legend of Vox Machina: Whitestone Chronicles—Ripley with a digital sampler now available on the Amazon Storefront, Dark Horse Digital, and other digital reading platforms. The graphic novel focuses on Dr. Anna Ripley and the choices she makes after the de Rolo family of Whitestone is taken over by the vicious Briarwoods.
Whitestone Chronicles—Ripley will be available in 2024, with more information coming later this year.
