While we are months away from The Marvels hitting theaters, Marvel Studios treated fans with a teaser trailer for the Captain Marvel sequel on Tuesday.
Following the investigation into a wormhole linked to the Kree, Carol Danvers’ powers become entangled with those of Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau, with the trio swapping places with each other every time they use their powers, forcing them to team up to determine why.
The Marvels was directed by Nia DaCosta from a screenplay she co-wrote with Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik, and Zeb Wells. The film stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Zawe Ashton as Dar-Benn. Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur reprise their respective roles from the Ms. Marvel streaming series as Khan’s older brother Aamir, mother Muneeba, and father Yusuf.
A sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel and continuation of 2022’s Ms. Marvel, the film is intended to be the third movie in Phase Five and the 33rd Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. The Marvels is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 10, 2023.
