Marvel Comics and Disney once again team-up to bring one of the most iconic Disney characters back to the pages of a comic book with Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime with writer Jason Aaron at the helm.

Jason Aaron, a true and longtime fan of Scrooge McDuck, is joined by a bevy of talented artists in this oversized special including Paolo Mottura, Francesco D’ippolito, Lucio De Giuseppe, Alessandro Pastrovicchio, Vitale Mangiatordi, and Giada Perissinotto. Colors and lettering were added by Arianna Consonni of Arancia Studio and VC’s Joe Caramagna respectively.
The expertise of Marvel mainstay Jason Aaron shines through in Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime, brining a sense of authenticity to the beloved Disney character. His passion for Scrooge McDuck is evident throughout the special and it is all the better for it. Additionally, adding a story to the end of the issue from legendary Disney Comics creator Carl Barks adds a nostalgic touch to further enhance the overall experience.
While some may find the complex multiverse with tons of characters a bit played out, Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime manages to navigate it and make it seem somewhat refreshing. Scrooge McDuck has graced us for nearly a century and having a ton of characters appear seemed unavoidable in this Marvel one-shot.
Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1 by Jason Aaron and a stellar art team is for longtime fans and those somehow new to the world of Scrooge McDuck. The oversized special is a great tribute to Donald Duck’s 90th anniversary and gives us hope for the exciting summer of comics from Marvel and Disney.
