While all the stories in this amazing one-shot from Dark Horse are wonderful and have their own unique elements, we focused on the Horror House story from writers David Dastmalchian and Leah Kilpatrick as well as artist Tyler Crook. Horror House is a story based in a not-so-typical haunted house with some real life fears behind each of the doors.
One of the most striking features of the Horror House story is Tyler Crook’s artwork. The artist creates a world where readers can feel the darkness and spine-chilling sensation of the haunted house. The level of detail and skill in Tyler Crook’s artwork is unparalleled, making the reader feel as if they’re watching a horror movie unfold through the pages of a comic book.
The writing style of Horror House is incredible. David and Leah create a world where readers believe that anything is possible, and nothing is safe. The horror and supernatural elements blend seamlessly into the story, making it a compelling read from start to finish.
