Brian McAuley is bringing back our favorite holiday slasher this coming November 2024 with Candy Cain Kills Again: The Second Slaying from Shortwave Publishing.
The sequel picks up where the the original slasher leaves off with the festive killer coming to town on Christmas morning to punish a parish full of sinners.
Both Candy Cain Kills and the upcoming sequel are part of Shortwave Publishing’s Killer VHS series of books. Other books in the series include Melon Head Mayhem written by Alex Ebenstein, the upcoming Teleportasm by Joshua Millican (June 2024), and Cicada by Tanya Pell (September 2024). While none of these (outside of the two Candy Cain Kills books) are connected, but are worth picking up.
McAuley burst onto the scene with his debut novel Curse of the Reaper during the fall of 2022 and followed up the success of Reaper with Candy Cain Kills in November 2023. Now, we get into the mood this holiday season with a sequel.
