Review Overview

Creepshow fans, hold on to your hats as Joe Hill, Jason Ciaramella, and Michael Walsh bring you a spine-chilling tale in their comic book adaptation of Wolverton Station. This one-shot takes us on a terrifying ride with a businessman whose mundane commute turns into a nightmare when his train comes to an unexpected halt at Wolverton Station.

The story starts off quite straightforwardly with our protagonist, if you want to call him that, is a sleazy collector who pays little to nothing for his items. While on a train trip to add to his collection, things take a turn for the worse when the train is filled with Werewolves.

As the night progresses, it becomes clear that there is something sinister lurking around them. Soon enough, they come face-to-face with werewolves who have taken over the train. What follows is a gory and violent battle between humans and werewolves that leaves many dead and injured.

Joe Hill’s writing is compelling as always, keeping readers on edge throughout the entire story. The artwork by Michael Walsh is top-notch and adds to the overall creepy vibe. The colors are muted yet effective in creating an eerie atmosphere. The werewolves are drawn in great detail and look truly terrifying.

Joe Hill and Jason Ciaramella’s writing, and Michael Walsh’s artwork combine to create a truly terrifying tale that will leave readers on the edge of their seats. The story may be straightforward, but it is executed wonderfully. The violent and bloody scenes is not for the faint-hearted, but it is sure to satisfy horror enthusiasts craving some gore.

Creepshow: Wolverton Station #1 hit comic books shops on February 14, 2024 from Image Comics.
