Ms. Marvel premiered on June 8, 2022, and ran for six episodes, and concluded on June 13. The series was created by Bisha K. Ali for Marvel Studios. Ali served as head writer with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah leading the directing team.
Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, Yasmeen Fletcher as Nakia Bahadir, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan, and Rish Shah as Kamran. Saagar Shaikh, Laurel Marsden, Azhar Usman, Arian Moayed, Alysia Reiner, Laith Nakli, Nimra Bucha, Travina Springer, Adaku Ononogbo, Samina Ahmad, Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Farhan Akhtar, and Aramis Knight also star in the series.
The series follows Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistani fangirl of the Avengers, particularly Captain Marvel, who struggles to fit in until she gains her own powers.
Ms. Marvel is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 and is the seventh series to air on Disney+. The series served as a set-up for the forthcoming0 “The Marvels“, in which Vellani will reprise her role as Khan along with other cast members from the series.
The show changed the MCU for many years to come.
