The comic book legend James Tynion IV is back at it again with an all-new horror comic book series entitled W0RLDTR33 coming in Spring 2023 at Image Comics.
W0RLDTR33 is Tynion IV’s creator-owned horror comic release since The Nice House On The Lake debuted on DC’s Black Label in June 2021. Artist Fernando Blanco (Catwoman) joins the project with Jordie Bellaire (Moon Knight) on Colors, and Aditya Bidikar (Little Bird) on letters.
Tynion IV is widely known for his creations such as Something Is Killing The Children (Boom!), The Department of Truth (Image), WYND (Boom!), The House of Slaughter (Boom!), The Woods (Boom!), Memetic (Boom!), and more. He is also known for his work on Batman at DC Comics.
The four-time Eisner Award Winner has also released Blue Book, The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos, Razorblades: The Horror Magazine, and The Closet via his Substack. The latter was also released in 2022 via Image Comics.
W0RLDTR33 is a Sci-Fiction / Horror comic book series. Spiritually, it’s the successor to one of my earliest creator-owned books, Memetic. Tonally, it’s probably closest to The Nice House On The Lake, but with a bit more blood and action.
It’s a horror story about technology, and it has been in Tynion’s head for about five years, and is excited that it’s finally going to start coming out in stores. It’s a big story, a sprawling ongoing epic that if done right, will run for several years, building toward a singular ending.
We will be hearing a lot more about this, particularly once Tynion introduces a terrifying character who he think will become the stand-out icon of the series, on the level of an Erica Slaughter or a Fictional Woman. We will get to meet her closer to the solicitation date.

W0RLDTR33 Coming Spring 2023
In 1999, Gabriel, Amanda, Liam, Yoshi, and Darren discovered what they dubbed the Undernet—a secret architecture beneath the internet. They charted their exploration of the Undernet on a private message board called W0RLDTR33. Then they lost control. And unleashed unimaginable horrors.
