Finally after multiple delays DC‘s The Flash will hit theaters on June 16, 2023. However, before you head to the movies to see the film let’s find out a bit more about who is the Flash.
The character first appeared in Flash Comics #1 (January 1940), created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert. However, this was Jason Peter “Jay” Garrick as the Flash and not what we have been introduce to in the DC Extended Universe or the CW television series.
The second speedster is Barry Allen, he is the fastest man alive. Using his superspeed powers, he taps into the Speed Force and becomes a costumed crime-fighter and is a founding member of the Justice League. Barry Allen’s first comic book appearance was in Showcase #4 (October 1956), created by writer Robert Kanigher and penciler Carmine Infantino.
The Flash powers and abilities include superhuman speed, reflexes, stamina, agility, and strength; speed force aura, accelerated healing, aerokinesis, dimensional travel, electrokinesis, and much more.
We first meet the DC film version of Barry Allen, not to be confused by the Barry Allen played by Grant Gustin in the Arrowverse series, in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) portrayed by Erza Miller with larger roles in Justice League (2017). They will continue this role as the fastest man alive in the feature film.
The Flash hits theaters June 16 and is expected to be a smash-hit, even with the delays and stuff surrounding the movie.
