Secret Invasion, the latest Marvel Studios television series will stream on Disney+ beginning June 21, 2023 featuring our favorite Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury and more!
Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, first debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the post-credit scenes of Iron Man in 2008. Secret Invasion will be his first lead role in an MCU project, although he has appeared in 11 of the 32 films released so far.
Must Watch: These films are highly recommended in order to get a full understanding of who Nicholas J. Fury is in the MCU.
Should Watch: While not required viewing, these films either setup potential storylines or give us a deeper understanding of Samuel L. Jackson's character.
Extra Credit: Not necessary to watch Secret Invasion, but well worth the viewing...or reading.

Nick Fury isn’t one to trust easily, especially after The Winter Soldier destroyed his life. But like the phoenix rising from the ashes, he’s back and determined to take down Hydra. The Winter Soldier sheds light on just how much Fury trusts Maria Hill, who will play a significant part in Secret Invasion. Plus, with the possibility of Fury being simmed and replaced by a Skrull, a rewatch with that lens could change how you view the film.
